The cake that won’t see the light of day
Speedy got home just as I was starting to prepare dinner. He started rummaging through the containers in the kitchen and I knew he wanted something he could munch on.
“There’s a cake…” Yes, still cooling in the silicone pan in which it was baked.
“Where?”
“Behind me… you’ll have to invert it onto a plate then re-invert it again…”
I didn’t know he knew how to remove a cake from the pan but I guess hungry people learn as a matter of necessity. He ate two slices right there and then.
