Shopping in (not Rizal’s) Dapitan

by Connie Veneracion on October 12, 2008

Because I so hate doing the Christmas shopping in malls and ending up buying the same old things, I considered whether it would be more practical to shop at eBay. It’ll save me a lot of grief, physical punishment and Speedy would be happy with what we can save in gasoline. I actually started buying [...]

TriNoMa, Triangle North of Manila

by Connie Veneracion on August 16, 2007

TriNoMa is a mall owned and developed by Ayala Land, the same company behind Glorietta and Greenbelt in Makati. As to why it is a triangle, Wikipedia has the details including a physical description of its location.
A mall is a mall, shops are shops and the restaurants at TriNoMa aren’t that different from restaurants in [...]

Fireworks, Eastwood City

by Connie Veneracion on January 9, 2007

My brother took the photo. He also uses a Canon EOS 350D. He’s a starving artist looking for work — you can contact me if you think he takes good photos. Kidding, kidding. My baby brother is a lawyer.

Eastwood City

by Connie Veneracion on May 6, 2006

Eastwood City is a shopping, dining and entertainment complex in Libis, Quezon City. It became popular for its outdoor cafes and restaurants, and band concerts (on Fridays and Saturdays mostly). It is infamous for its longest buffet, a supposedly earth-shaking dining event that turned into a huge fiasco.

Apart from that, there are some enjoyable sights [...]

U.P. Diliman

by Connie Veneracion on April 17, 2006

One of our favorite places to while away a lazy afternoon, the U.P. Diliman campus has lots of open fields where we fly kites, play ball or just enjoy a picnic. Plus, of course, one never runs out of things to photograph.

A Golden Shower tree (so-called because of the yellow flowers that continuously fall down) [...]
