These photos of a garbage truck were taken late one afternoon along North Avenue in Quezon City on our way to TriNoMa Mall to attend a birthday dinner. I was trying to capture the contrast of the silhouettes of the garbage collectors and the truck against the setting sun.

The 66-foot memorial monument to the President of the Commonwealth Republic, Manuel Luis Quezon, stands on an expanse of 27-hectare circular lot (numbers from WOW Philippines) that had been developed during the last two decades as a park complete with restaurants and flea market.

TriNoMa is a mall owned and developed by Ayala Land, the same company behind Glorietta and Greenbelt in Makati. As to why it is a triangle, Wikipedia has the details including a physical description of its location.

I don’t remember the last time I went to a shopping mall where there was an ongoing mall-wide sale and bought nothing. I don’t think it ever happened before. Well, until last Sunday. We only had time to eat, have coffee and watch Transformers.
