I went sailing

I’m back. No more future posts. For now. I’ve taken down the notice on the sidebar that I’m out of the country and unable to respond to comments and e-mails. I am going through the comments in both blogs and the messages that remained unopened for more than nine days.

So, I’m back from where? Here and there. See, I was on a boat. Okay, a big boat.

legend-of-the-seas

That boat. It has a name. Legend of the Seas.

me

That’s me waiting excitedly to board her.

group-pic

That’s us. Mis amigas. Cynthia, me, Mabel and Osang. We sailed together. And ate together. And laughed together and dissed each other endlessly. And we got drunk together too — even before the ship left the port.

singapore-sling

The bartenders made some pretty mean Singapore Slings.

So, I had a couple before the ship pulled out of the port.

fresh-coconut-juice

Later — much later — we went to a beach and sipped fresh coconut juice.

mudslide

Then, we went back to the ship and… that’s Osang. She had the Margarita; I had the Mudslide.

So, was it nine days of nothing but alcohol?

Not really. There was lots of food too. And laughter. And girl talk — the confiding kind.

And a lot of stories with lots of photos. I’m still reconstructing what happened when. Alcohol kinda makes it a little hard to remember which came first — the Singapore Sling or the cognac or the dancing and the singing. But no worries. The stories will get written. They always do.

    Connie,

    What a vacation!

Am glad those boobs did not sink the ship. On the other hand, come to think of it, you could have been someone’s personal salva vida (salbabida).

    Welcome back.

    :)

  10. Thank you, thank you! Now that broadband is back to normal, uploading photos shouldn’t be a problem.

Yeye, I was just telling Speedy and the kids that we should take a cruise together. Kahit short one lang.

Lisa, bruha ka talaga. Dami dun with bigger boobs ano!
