Most sculptors carve stone, metal, wood or glass. Others carve food. This carved watermelon was on the table at the barbecue buffet aboard the Legend of the Seas on the second to the last day of our second cruise. Somewhere between Thailand and Singapore.

I think I’ll feel guilty eating this melon; too artistic to eat. hehe
Reminds me of that old MS Word clipart. Ang cute.
There’s another design — a flower. The contrast is better because more red is visible. Will post it another time.
There was this contest in the food network on the fruit arrangements and the best so far was a lady chef from Thailand who can make various floral designs on various fruits even with the most intricate and tiniest design. She used to be employed by the Thais royal family.
Seeing the beauty is one thing but seeing it happen with great speed and yet seem effortless is truly amazing.
