EO 464 revoked

Executive officials are no longer barred from testifying in legislative inquiries.
Opposition Sen. Jamby Madrigal said President Arroyo abolished the controversial order for her “political survival.”
For his part, administration Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri said the President’s decision “shows her sincerity to let the truth come out.”
Personally, I think it’s simply kowtowing to the Catholic Church (as always) since the CBCP has been calling for the abolition of EO 464. Raul Gonzalez makes one of his rare correct observations although I find it silly that he seems to think there’s nothing wrong with that reasoning.
So much for separation of church and state.
