The birds and the bees

Whenever I take a macro shot of a flower, showing the details of the pistil and stamen, a song starts singing inside my head — a song that introduces the subject of sex by referring to the reproductive system of flowers.
“Now you see just how the stamen gets its lusty dust onto the stigma.
And why this frenzied chlorophyllous orgy starts in spring is no enigma!”
The song is “Reproduction” from Grease 2. The fact that the tune makes me want to dance every time makes it a wonder that the photo isn’t blurred.
The photo was taken at the Juinio residence in Roxas City.
