Soft as a bed
Decades ago, they were known as Japanese sandals. When I was a kid, they were called slippers. This generation knows them as flip flops and they have become fashionable items. According to Alex’s cat, Maki, if it’s soft, it must be a bed. So, Sam’s pair of bedroom slippers serve as his bed. Why he always chooses that particular pair, we have no idea. Even when mine and Alex’s bedroom slippers form part of the row, he still chooses Sam’s red slippers. Perhaps, it’s the smell?
