Rizal Provincial Capitol
The capitol of Rizal province has always been located in Pasig. Then, Metro Manila was created and Pasig came under its jurisdiction. It would take decades but the provincial capitol of Rizal is finally being moved to Antipolo.
The structure in the photo is the future capitol. Located beside the Ynares Stadium along Circumferential Road, it sits on the site of the annual Christmas flea market. When the capitol is complete and fully operational, traffic in the area is expected to triple. The value of real estate in the neighborhood is also expected to soar.
