A peacock preens
The peacock photos from yesterday’s trip to Avilon Zoo.
It must be mating season — the peacock is preening and spreading its plumage in full splendor.



Above, a close-up shot of the head of the Indian blue peacock showing its crown.
Below, just like in beauty pageants, the peacock makes quarter turns.
Kidding. Actually, it was turning around, showing off its plumage. My husband just took photos of the quarter-turn angles.
