Kittens’ favorite sleeping spot

by Connie Veneracion on May 31, 2007

Ever since we had cats in the house, we’ve had a cat bed with a washable mattress. For some reason, none of our cats ever slept in it.

Salt and Pepper prefer to sleep on armchairs and sofas. Their favorite spot is on top of the backrest of the sofa. I don’t know why. When I’m [...]

Waterless

by Connie Veneracion on May 30, 2007

It’s been a hell of a day. I woke up at around 9.30 a.m. to find out that the taps had been dry since 6.00 a.m. I sent the house helper to get some information from the subdivision’s security guard and she was told that repairs were ongoing. Water service was supposed to be restored [...]

Watching Miss Universe 2007

by Connie Veneracion on May 30, 2007

Yesterday was one of those lazy days. It rained and Sam spent the afternoon shuffling between the TV and her laptop. Then, she brought out her laptop and placed it on the coffee table. She was surfing while watching a feature on blondes on BBC. The sexiest blondes or something.
Pamela Anderson appeared on the [...]

Cat’s eyes tell the time

by Connie Veneracion on May 29, 2007

I was doing some reading on bottled water and cancer for Thursday’s op-ed column and the research brought me to the Snopes message boards. One of the members there uses the nickname Llewtrah lutra (the Known Minx) and the links to his/her site was right below his/her name. I clicked and I found a most [...]

I’m so slim when I’m with Shrek!

by Connie Veneracion on May 28, 2007

We had about half an hour to kill before the showtime of The Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End. Sam and Alex wouldn’t have their photos taken with Shrek but they insisted I should because my attire, from shirt to shoes, was Shrek’s color. Well, why not?

by Connie Veneracion on May 27, 2007

Twelve members of the Pinoy Moms Network met for lunch yesterday. Some met the others for the first time. If I remember correctly, it was Cess who was the ice breaker because, according to her, she was not excited at all LOL.
Below are some photos (taken by Sam) from the mommy lunch yesterday at Swiss [...]

Kitten and my MacBook

by Connie Veneracion on May 23, 2007

Fat kitten Pepper decides to keep me company while I try to beat my newspaper deadline.

Problem is she’d stand up every few seconds and swish her tail right across my monitor.

In February 1, 1814, Mayon Volcano’s most destructive eruption in recorded history, 1,200 people died and the town of Cagsaua (Cagsawa) was buried in lava and rocks. Only the bell tower of the Cagsaua Church remained.

TV, advertising and children

by Connie Veneracion on May 22, 2007

Two nights ago, I was scouting for a domain name for Speedy. Yes, I have finally convinced him to try blogging. Tough finding a good domain name that is still available. A lot of good domain names are just parked and some are being used for seemingly unrelated things. Many domain names with “daddy” are [...]
